Hello Wtfiswrongwitmeh, using radiocarbon dating, or carbon dating, you can determine the age of an organic object from the relative proportions of the carbon isotopes it contains. Therefore, if you take the fossils form the fossil record and determine how old they are, you can see how/if they evolved over time.
