Answer:

finally enabled scholars to unlock the Egyptian past

Explanation:

According to a different source, these are the options that come with this question:

  • No one knew how to read Egyptian hieroglyphic writing.
  • Countless visitors to Egypt over the centuries had tried.
  • The story begins in the seventh century A.D.
  • Finally enabled scholars to unlock the Egyptian past.

This is the sentence that bets supports the author's view that the people who deciphered the Egyptian writing system played an important role in history. In this text, the author describes how difficult it was for scholars to discover what the hieroglyphs said. Many people saw these markings, and many people studied their possible meanings. However, it was these scholars who were able to discover their true meaning.

Answer: Gargoyles two main purposes were to scare off evil, and to divert rainwater; they had sprouts that direct water away from the sides of buildings.

Explanation:

Gargoyles were most common during the medieval times when the Church was very powerful. Gargoyles were used to scare off evil and to remind people that evil existed.

Their other primary purpose was to divert rainwater from the foundation of buildings as the rainwater would come out of their open mouths through their long necks.

FIRST CORRECT ANSWER GETS BRAINLIEST!
fgiga [73]

Answer:

undeveloped, or time

Explanation:

The definition of primitive is old or ancient and since no other word means that, so for that reason, I would go with undeveloped, or time.

this question is a tricky one though because the words don't really describe primitive, but what you can get from the passage, is that even though the campsite had no running water they still had a great time and the scenery was beautiful.

Another thing is since it is ancient it took time to become ancient so that's what knocks out the answer choice undeveloped.

I am unsure about this answer, and don't have a very good explanation so, I wish you the best of luck with this question I just gave my best guest.
