40% are girls or more accurate would be 14

Solution:

What is 40% of 35?

Y is 40% of 35

Equation: Y = P% * X

Solving our equation for Y

Y = P% * X

Y = 40% * 35

Converting percent to decimal:

p = 40%/100 = 0.4

Y = 0.4 * 35

Y = 14

Understand that: • the sum of two positive numbers is greater than either number. Understand that addition is the inverse of subtraction (addition reverses subtraction and vice versa) and use this to check results. Respond rapidly to oral or written questions, explaining the strategy used. For example: • 654 add 50… Add 68 to 74… • 7 add 12 add 9… Add 15, 6, 4, 15 and 1… • What is the sum/total of 26 and 39? And of 13, 62 and 3? • How many altogether are 121 and 35? And 61, 37 and 6? • Increase 48 by 22. • Which three numbers could have a total of 103? Are there any others?

In the figure to the right, AE + DC = 1 1/5 cm, AB = 1 3/4 cm, DE = 1 1/4 cm, and BC = 1 3 /10 cm. Find the perimeter of the fig
pentagon [3]

Answer:

The perimeter of the figure = 9.5 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Note: You probably missed to add the figure, but after a little research I found and am attaching the figure. I have answered your question based on the reference of that figure. But, I hope you would learn the concept so that you could solve any question based on this concept. So, please check the figure.

Solution:

The perimeter of the figure is the sum of all the sides of the given figure as shown in the attached figure.

So, here is the formula to calculate the perimeter.

                Perimeter = AB + DE + BC + AE + BC

As AE + DC = 1 1/5 cm, AB = 1 3/4 cm, DE = 1 1/4 cm, and BC = 1 3/10 cm

Therefore,

Perimeter = 1 3/4  + 1 1/4  + 13/10 + 1 1/5           ∵ AE + BC = 1 1/5

                                   = (130  + 110  + 52 + 88) / 40

                                   = 380/40

                                   = 9.5 cm

So, the perimeter of the figure is = 9.5 cm
