Checks and balances is a system that allows each branch of a government to amend or veto acts of another branch so as to prevent any one branch from exerting too much power. Just imagine, if one branch had to much power it could cause a lot of issues within our government.

checks and balances is a system that alot of countries nowadays use. it allows however many branches in a country check each other
