There are three (3) stages of memory. These are memory encoding, storage and retrieval.
Memory Encoding is processing any information according to its semantic (meaning), visual (physical form) and acoustic (sound) form.
Storage or storing information is about keeping the information in case we need it the future time.
Retrieval is where the memory or the information is getting out of the storage, or in short, remembering the information because we need already need it.
