Remember that lateral surface area is just the total surface area minus the area of the base and top of the solid. The pyramid doesn't have a top, so you'll only be subtracting the area of the base.

Start by calculating the entire surface area S.A.. The question gives you the dimensions for the sides and the area for the base, so

\frac{1}{2}b×h gives you the area of 1 side, multiply that by 3 and add the area of the base to find the entire surface area in square feet. Since there are two pyramids, just multiply this by two.

since the price of 1 square foot of foil is $0.22, multiply the total surface area of the two pyramids by 0.22 to find the cost of covering the entire pyramids. We'll call this number Price1 and set it aside for now.

to find the lateral surface area, or the surface area minus the base, just subtract the area of the base from the surface area you calculated before. This will result in the lateral surface area. Again since there are two pyramids, you multiply the result by two.
To find out how much this costs, again, just multiply the result by 0.22, we'll call this number Price2.

Now you finally find out how much money is saved by subtracting Price2 from Price1.

Price1 - Price2 = total money saved

Hope that helps.

How many primes occur between 0 and 230,948,202? (Note: the answer is the number of primes, not the primes themselves!) Answer C
daser333 [38]

Answer:

There are approximately 27,613,774 primes between 0 and 230,948,202

Step-by-step explanation:

The Prime Number Theorem states that between 0 and x, the number of primes in this interval can be approximated by the following formula.

\pi(x) = \frac{x}{log x}

So

How many primes occur between 0 and 230,948,202?

This is approximately \pi(230,948,202)

So

\pi(230,948,202) = \frac{230,948,202}{\log{230,948,202}} = 27,613,774

There are approximately 27,613,774 primes between 0 and 230,948,202

You are going to a 4-year college in 4 years that will cost $14,895.00/yr. Your parents expect you to pay 5% of the total cost.
Fiesta28 [93]

They expect you to pay $2,979 of all 4 years... and you need to save about $62 or $63 a month before you start attending

You paint 12 wall in 14 hour. At that rate, how long will it take you to paint one wall?
motikmotik

Answer:

One hour and 16 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

12 walls      (divided by 12)                              1 wall

----                                             →                       -----

14 hours  (So here we should do the same)    1.16

Please help me as soon as possible
Olegator [25]
Answer: x = 10

Explanation:

Proof that triangle CAB ~ EAD

Angle CAB = Angle EAD (same angle)

Angle ABC = Angle ADE = 90 degree

Thus, Triangle ABC ~ EAD (AA)

And CB/ED = 8/16 = 1/2

Which mean CB = (1/2)ED

That mean AB/AD also equal 1/2
Where AB = 1/2(AD)

We get:
x = 1/2(10 + x)
x = 5 + (1/2)x
x - (1/2)x = 5
(1/2)x = 5
x = 10

One the first day of school, each student is given $0.50 to attend. On day two, each student earns $1.00, day 3, $2.00, etc. How
aalyn [17]

Answer:

They earn $256 on the ninth day of school.

Step-by-step explanation:

A geometric sequence(in which each term is the previous term multiplied by the ratio) has the following format:

a_{n+1} = r \times a_{n}

In which r is the common ratio.

We can also find the nth term as a function of the first term, by the following equation:

a_{n} = a_{1} \times r^{n}

In which

r = \frac{a_{n+1}}{a_{n}}

In this question:

On the first day, $0.50. So a_{1} = 0.5.

Day two $1.00, day three $2.00.

So

r = \frac{1}{0.5} = \frac{2}{1} = 2

Then

a_{n} = 0.5 \times 2^{n}

How much do students earn on the ninth day of school?

a_{9} = 0.5 \times 2^{9} = 256

They earn $256 on the ninth day of school.
