Some viruses, especially animal viruses, have an envelope surrounding their nucleocapsid. This envelope may have viral proteins

embedded in it. Why are the viral proteins more readily recognized and targeted by the immune system than the envelope?
1) Enveloped viruses are often coated with animal cell membrane as they leave the cell. This membrane is a major component of the viral envelope. The viral proteins are more readily recognized by the immune system, as they are more distinct from the materials normally found in and on the cells. However, the envelope can contain several types of viral components as well.
2) The envelope is not capable of stimulating an immune response because of its make up.
3) Only proteins can stimulate the immune system, so the phospholipids and glycoproteins of the envelope are not immunogenic.
4) Viral proteins are highly immunogenic in order to facilitate uptake by host cells, while the envelope is not important in uptake by host cells.

Answer:

Some viruses, especially animal viruses, have an envelope surrounding their nucleocapsid. This envelope may have viral proteins embedded in it.

Explanation:

This envolope from viruses that has proteins are better for the immune system to recognize them.  Because enveloped viruses use similar mechanisms for delivery of genetic material into cells, there may be ways to prevent infection before viral entry that would be effective for large numbers of different viruses.

What does it mean if you find a skeleton and all of the sutures on the skull are fused? Be specific by using ages in your explan
mr Goodwill [35]

Answer:

If the scull is fused the individual is not a baby

Explanation:

If a skull is found, one of the first things to do is classify by age. Careful observation will show that the skull may or may not be fused. Noteworthy observations could give the professional an idea of the individual's age.

In the womb when the bones of the skull are being formed thre are typically seven bones with gaps in between. This allows the infant to pass safely through the birth canal but giving way to squeezing and the contractions of the uterus. After the child is born there are still remaining gaps. These gaps allow the brain to grow and develop without pressure from the skull. This can often be observed by a soft spot on the top of the infant's head sometimes called a "mole"

Around two years of age, these bones begin to fuse and harden.  Therefore if a skull is found with fused bones, the individual can be placed to be older than two years of age. Other determining factors such as teeth etc can narrow down the individual's age.
