Answer:

The required value of x in the given logarithmic equation is -0.36

Step-by-step explanation:

The given logarithmic equation is :

5^{2x}=\frac{5}{16}

We need to find the required value of x in the given logarithmic equation.

5^{2x}=\frac{5}{16}\\\\\text{Taking log on both the sides}\\\\\log 5^{2x}=\log(\frac{5}{16})\\\\\implies 2x=\frac{\log 5-\log 16}{\log 5}\\\\\implies 2x=\frac{0.699-1.204}{0.699}\\\\\implies 2x = \frac{-0.505}{0.699}\\\\\implies 2x = -0.72\\\\\implies x = -0.36

Hence, the value of x in the given logarithmic equation is -0.36

In 2003 Exxon Mobil received a contract from the government worth $756,733 while Aerospace received a contract from the governme
lutik1710 [3]

The combined total of their contracts is $1,296,250

<h3>How to determine the combined total?</h3>

The values of the contracts are given as:

  • Exxon Mobil= $756,733
  • Aerospace = $539,517

The combined total is represented as:

Total = Exxon Mobil + Aerospace

Substitute known values

Total = $756,733 + $539,517

Evaluate the sum

Total = $1,296,250

Hence, the combined total of their contracts is $1,296,250

Ipatiy [6.2K]

Answer:

I believe the answer is B. 15/5 = n/12

Step-by-step explanation:

Once again same method as I've explained before. However, this one tricked me a little bit and still is because of the appearance of the smaller triangle. However, If I don't focus on that I believe this answer is correct. This is because in order to find the missing side we need to find the factor of which the triangle was expanded. So we must divide a given side of the bigger triangle by the same similar side of the little triangle, like 15/5. Then we must divide n by its similar side which the appearance made me think 13 which is not an option so I believe it is 12 and it was just trying to throw me off. So n/12. Therefore that is why I believe B is correct.
