In order to make an improper fraction from a mixed number, you multiply the denominator times the whole number and then add the numerator. you keep the denominator the same. so 11 times 6 is 66 and then add 28 which is 94. so keep the denominator and u get 94/6. that's the improper. now it says to make it in simplest form which means to reduce it. I assume you know how to reduce it.

Peter created a presentation for his boss showing the average number of copies the accounting department makes during a one week

The <em><u>correct answer</u></em> is:

A box and whisker plot

Explanation:

A box and whisker plot, or a box plot, displays what is called the "five number summary."  This includes:

Median; LQ (lower quartile, or the median of the lower half of data); UQ (upper quartile, or the median of the upper half of data); lowest value; and highest value.

This will show the spread of data, and the mean can easily be added to this diagram.

Janelle plotted her room on a coordinate plane where each space represents 1 foot. Its end points are A(-6, 5), B(-6, -5), C(4,-
bija089 [108]

Answer:

square

Step-by-step explanation:

x values are -6 and 4, so their distance is 10 units.

y values are -5 and 5, so their distance is also 10 units.

4 lines with equal length creates a square.

Work out the area of Triangle ABC
Tema [17]

The main idea is using the Pythagorean formula to find the length of line segment DB.

Alr so you use the formula A^2 + B^2 = C^2

C^2 is already given and is 2\sqrt{5}

and A^2 is 3\sqrt{2}

So using algebraic rules you'll get B as:

\sqrt{2}

Now using the formula: \frac{1}{2} b * h, you can find the area of tri ABD and CBD which would be 3 and 1 so add them up and you get 4!

BINOMCDF on calculator question
max2010maxim [7]

Explanation:

For the purpose of filling in the table, the BINOMPDF function is more appropriate. The table is asking for p(x)--not p(n≤x), which is what the CDF function gives you.

If you want to use the binomcdf function, the lower and upper limits should probably be the same: 0,0 or 1,1 or 2,2 and so on up to 5,5.

The binomcdf function on my TI-84 calculator only has the upper limit, so I would need to subtract the previous value to find the table entry for p(x).

Which formula can be used to describe the sequence below? –8, –5, –2, 1, 4, ...
makvit [3.9K]

Answer:

an = -8 +3(n-1)

an = -11 +3n

f(n) = -11 +3n

Step-by-step explanation:

–8, –5, –2, 1, 4, ...

This is an arithmetic sequence.

We are increasing by 3 each time

-8 +3 = -5

-5+3 = -2

-2 +3 = 1

The common difference is 3

The formula for an arithmetic sequence is

an = a1 +d (n-1)

an = -8 +3(n-1)

an = -8 +3n -3

an = -11 +3n

The nth term is -11 +3n

f(n) = -11 +3n
