In-s [12.5K]

Using properties of the logarithm, you can rearrange the integrand as

\dfrac12\ln(2x^2)=\dfrac{\ln2+\ln x^2}2=\dfrac{\ln2+2\ln x}2=\ln\sqrt2+\ln x

Then recall that the integral of \ln x is

\displaystyle\int\ln x\,\mathrm dx=x(\ln x-1)+C

(or you can find that out by integrating by parts) and so

\displaystyle\int\frac12\ln(2x^2)\,\mathrm dx=(\ln\sqrt2)x+x(\ln x-1)+C

Help!! I’m sooo stuck!
stepladder [879]

Answer:

1. 24 quarts. 2. 85 seconds.

Step-by-step explanation:

1. We need to know how many 2/3 are in 4.

if 3/3 are in 1 cup, then 12/3 are in 4 cups.

there are 6 twos in 12, so there are 6*2/3 cups in 4 cups.

Each 2/3 needs 4 quarts of green, and we have six times that.

6*4 = 24, so we need 24 quarts of green paint.

2. The 12.75 miles would go in the "d" or distance part of the equation.

d = 0.15t

12.75 = 0.15t  (divide both sides by 0.15)

12.75/0.15 = 0.15t/0.15

t = 85, so 85 seconds.

12.75 miles isn't the distance between the two cities, it's much farther, so this answer makes sense.
