Why did the narrator in the story the safe house feel unsafe?

English
2 answers:
vagabundo [1.1K]3 years ago

Answer:

<em>The Safe House</em> is a story writen by Sandra Nicole Roldan from the perspective of a child in The Philipines during the dictatorship of President Ferdinand Marcos and his Martial Law around 1972 and 1981; there were plenty of reasons for the narrator <em>(the little girl)</em> to feel unsafe, the given tittle <em>"The Safe House"</em> is a sarcastic one,

the use of irony helps to keep the reader's interest and add suspense to a dramatic and controversial subject, since that house held the secret meetings of people planning the underground revolution against the regime, which obviously for a child not understanding what was going on, created a tense environment.
