Answer:

The most appropriate answers would be B. earth's rotation and E. changes in air pressure.

Global wind patterns are mainly determined by unequal heating of the earth's surface, changes in air pressure, and earth's rotation.

Change in air pressure: Air mainly circulates due to change in air pressure. It moves from a region of high air pressure to the region of lower air pressure.

Unequal heating of earth surface: The surface of the earth near equator gets more heat from the sun as compared to other zones. The air above the equator gets warmed and move towards the pole and cool air from poles move towards the equator.

Rotation of earth: Air does not move directly from north to south or vice versa due to earth rotation. It exerts Coriolis effect due to which circulating air gets deflected towards left in the southern hemisphere and towards right in the northern hemisphere.

What is present in the soil that makes nitrogen<br> directly available to plants?
lubasha [3.4K]
In order for plants to assimilate nitrogen directly into their system, the nitrogen must be in the form of nitrates. Nitrogen in the air and ammonia from decayed matter in the soil is converted to ammonium by decomposers and nitrogen-fixing bacteria. The ammonium is further nitrified to nitrates by nitrifying bacteria. Finally, the nitrates can then absorbed by the plants.
