In Europe, feudalism first began in Western Europe - France, in particular - in the 9th century. Many of the core ideas of feudalism were taken from the Germanic and, moreover, the Roman traditions and then implemented in France over the course of the 9th and 10th centuries, from which it spread throughout much of Western Europe until its eventual demise over the course of the 14th and 15th centuries.

Explain why some countries chose to be nonaligned. What did they fear, and what did they have to gain by remaining neutral?
eduard
With war, every country is afraid. They're afraid of possibly being ambushed, becoming in dept, and many other reasons. So by remaining neutral they can sit back and not have to worry about being attacked by any country that's fighting. But that's not always the case now and days. Hope I answered your question correctly.

What was General Sherman’s objective on his March to the Sea?
ss7ja [257]

The correct answer is A. To destroy military and civilian resources wherever possible

Explanation:

Sherman's March to the Sea was the name of a military campaign led by General William Sherman in 1864 as part of the Civil War, this campaign began in Atlanta and ended in Savannah. The main purpose and military strategy of the campaign was the "scorched-earth policy" in which soldiers from the Union destroyed the towns and cities they went through including military resources but also transportation networks and properties or similar that belong to the civilians as in this way the Confederacy could be weakened. This implies the objective of General Sherman's March to the Sea was to destroy military and civilian resources wherever possible.

Answer:

The correct answer is C, If the events happened around the same time but one did not cause the other.

Explanation:

A relationship of correlation in history means that two or more events are somehow associated. How these events are associated can take many forms: maybe they have the same cause, maybe they had similar impacts, they might have happened at the same time, or not at the same time but in similar ways, etc. Thus a relationship of association can take many forms.

One form that a relationship of association can NOT take is if one event caused the other because this relationship is more specific: one event triggered the other so this second event depends on the first event.

The difference is that if one says two events are associated, that doesn't necessarily mean one event depends on the other which is the case when one event caused another event and thus a dependence relationship exists.
