The correct answer is A) The United States further extended its containment policy in Latin America,

The effect did the Cuban Missile Crisis have on the United States was that the United States further extended its containment policy in Latin America.

During the Cuban missiles crisis of October 1962, the world was on the brink of another world war because the tensions between the Soviet Union and the United States were at the highest point. The USSR wanted to spread Communism throughout many countries of the world and the US always tried to stop it. Cuba was already a Communist country backed by the USSR and the US was committed to protect other Latin American countries.

4.How can GDP per capita and poverty rates indicate standards of living in each system?
ZanzabumX [31]
When GDP per capita is lower, the poverty rate will tend to be higher. People, on average, will be producing less in that economy as well as being paid less for what they do produce. This will lead to a lowered standard of living. Economies with lower poverty rates will have higher per capita GDP and better standards.
