The Malla period was a period in which Nepali sculpture reached it's climax as it was the period during which sculptures were not only made from metal, clay, stone, etc but other objects such as woods, papers, etc were also included. Instead of simple sculptures complex sculptures took place.

Explanation:

Malla Period is considered the Golden era in Nepali history during which it's artistic sculptures reached its climax. Malla period spanned from 1200-1769. During this period, the artisan's sculptures not only flourished within Nepal boundaries but extended to Tibet, Bhutan, and India as well.

Additional to the use of clay, metals, stones other object such as papers, woods, cloths, etc were being used. The sculptures, which were simply made were made complex using other forms.
