Well, a polygon is just a generic shape. Triangle, Quadrilateral, Pentagon,Hexagon, Octagon, Decagon, etc. Sides are the lines that meet to make up the polygon, and vertices are the corners where the sides meet. Here are some examples:

Triangle Quadrilateral (square, rectangle)
3 sides 4 sides
3 vertices 4 vertices

I hope this helps. :)

What is the solution to the system of linear equations graphed here?
Talja [164]

Answer:

One solution, A) (2 , -1)

Step-by-step explanation:

The solution is where the two lines intersect. If the lines do not intersect, it is no solution. If the line intersects once (like in the picture), it has one solution. If it intersects more than once (x), then it will have x amount of solutions.

In this case, the intersection is at (2 , -1), therefore, A) (2 , -1) is your answer.

4) A garden is in the shape of a square with a perimeter of
Leni [432]

Answer:

It costs $154.88 to build the fences.

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of square = 4 \times Side

We are given that A garden is in the shape of a square with a perimeter of 56 feet.

So,4 \times side = 56

Side =\frac{56}{4}=14 feet

So, Side of square park = 14 feet

One fence is around the perimeter of the garden, whereas the second fence is 2 feet from the first fence on the outside.

Outer length = 14+2+2=18 feet

So, Perimeter of outer fence = 4 \times side = 4 \times 18 = 72 feet

Cost of fencing 1 foot = $1.21

Cost of fencing 56 feet =56 \times 1.21=67.76

Cost of fencing 72 feet = 72 \times 1.21=87.12

Total cost = 67.76+87.12=154.88

Hence It costs $154.88 to build the fences.

Select the correct answer.
Luba_88 [7]

Answer:

The Answer Is A

Step-by-step explanation:

The Harappan civilisation is also called The Indus Valley Civilisation, this is because they built their cities along the Indus river. The reason behind this location can be found in the rest of the "Old World" civilisations like Mesopotamia or Egypt, the first built their cities along the rivers Tigris and Euphrates, the second along the Nil;: their respective civilisations thrived because the overflowing of their respective rivers produced favorable conditions for agriculture, their main support.
