Answer:

The correct answer would be ribosomes.

The ribosome is made up of rRNA and associated proteins.

It serves as the site of translation (formation of polypeptide chain or protein).

It has an enzymatic activity of peptidyl transferase, that is, it catalyzes the formation of peptide bonds between amino acids of growing polypeptide chain during the process of protein biosynthesis.

How are the law of independent assortment and the law of segregation different?
san4es73 [151]
Hi there!

The law of independent assortment says that the traits are randomly selected, there is no pattern to how they are sorted. The law of segregation says that the traits are divided between each gamete, using a pattern to sort them.

Hope this helps!! :)

Why is uncoating in an animal needed
kozerog [31]

Answer:

Since almost all DNA viruses replicate in the nucleus of infected cells, they must be targeted there. In many cases the entire nucleocapsid enters the nucleus, where uncoating then takes place. In order for new virus to be assembled, both new viral genomes and other virion components (proteins) must be produced.
