Stono is important because it changed the face of slavery in Carolina, and had ramifications for other colonies as well. It also solidified slavery in a way that it hadn’t been before.

The Soviet Realists were the group of artists who made state controlled art,  that was supposed to reflect the realities of life and to focus on the plight of the working class.

It was also a fact that these stories were supposed to affirm the moral and political rights to the working class.

They were usually used as socialist propaganda but many of the artists truly believed in the cause and made genuine art under the restrictions of the regime the most notable of whom are Bertolt Brecht and Gorky.
