The table compares the prices of four types of fruit. Which fruit is the best to buy?

Mathematics
1 answer:
taurus [48]3 years ago
4 0

Divide the price by the quantity:

Bananas = 5.40 / 6 = 0.90 each

Oranges = 2.56/8 = 0.32 each

Apples = 4.68 / 12 = 0.39 each

Mangos = 3.16 / 4 = 0.79 each

Oranges have the lowest price each so are the best buy.

He started with 17 quarter's. He had a certain number of quarters he added to his collection each day, on day two he had 26, and two days later he had 35, meaning he increased the amount of quarters my 9 over two day's, so I subtracted 9 from 26 because if you do you can remove the quarters he added in from the ones he started with, so the answer is: He started with 17.

False.

Step-by-step explanation:

If we substitute a for 6, the inequality would become 6 > 6. That is not true because 6 cannot be greater than itself.

hammer [34]

Answer:

The probability that a randomly selected component needs rework when it came from line A₁ is 0.3623.

Step-by-step explanation:

The three different assembly lines are: A₁, A₂ and A₃.

Denote <em>R</em> as the event that a component needs rework.

It is given that:

P (R|A_{1})=0.05\\P (R|A_{2})=0.08\\P (R|A_{3})=0.10\\P (A_{1})=0.50\\P (A_{2})=0.30\\P (A_{3})=0.20

Compute the probability that a randomly selected component needs rework as follows:

P(R)=P(R|A_{1})P(A_{1})+P(R|A_{2})P(A_{2})+P(R|A_{3})P(A_{3})\\=(0.05\times0.50)+(0.08\times0.30)+(0.10\times0.20)\\=0.069

Compute the probability that a randomly selected component needs rework when it came from line A₁ as follows:

P (A_{1}|R)=\frac{P(R|A_{1})P(A_{1})}{P(R)}=\frac{0.05\times0.50}{0.069}  =0.3623

Thus, the probability that a randomly selected component needs rework when it came from line A₁ is 0.3623.

Can someone help me?
Lana71 [14]

Answer:

I'm not sure from my answer but I'm going to try

A =  { a^2  -  4  = 0 }

A = { a^2  = 0+ 4 }

A = { a^2  = 4}

Take root of both sides

A = {a = 2}

A = {2}

B = { -2, -1, 0, 1, 2}

C = { 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,7}

i) A\B

= {2} \ {-2,-1,0,1,2}

= ⌀ ( "null set" )

ii) (A\B) \C

= ( {2} \ {-2,-1,0,1,2} ) \ C

= ⌀ \ C

= ⌀ \ { 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,7}

= ⌀ ( "null set" )

iii) (A ∪ B) \ C

= ( { 2 } ∪ { -2, -1, 0, 1, 2} ) \ C

= { -2, -1, 0, 1, 2} \C

= { -2, -1, 0, 1, 2} \ { 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,7}

= { -2, -1, 0 }

iv) ( A\B) ∩ ( A\C)

= (  { 2 } \ {-2,-1,0,1,2} ) ∩ ( { 2 } \ { { 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,7} )

= ⌀ ∩ ⌀

= ⌀

v) ( A ∩ B ) \ C

= ( { 2 }  ∩  { -2, -1, 0, 1, 2 } ) \ C

= { 2 } \ { 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 }

= ⌀ "null set"
