The foundations of the Chesapeake colonies has a great impact on the the region because population increases due to good soil condition and more people comes to these lands and start tobacco farming for making their economic condition better. Slavery also increases in these areas because slaves were needed for the cultivation of tobacco crop. About 250000 slaves were present in these areas in 1770. Due to tobacco farming, these colonies increases the demand of slaves in the southern colonies which affected the whole region.
