Thomas Paine is one of the most important historic figures of America for being one of the Founding Fathers of United States and for being an inspiration to advocate Independence from Great Britain. In his famous pamphlet "Common Sense" (1775-1776), he eloquently explained why America must be Independent of the British government and why a republican government under a written Constitution must be established in the United States.
