The closest answer would be D, but these colonists were very Puritan and didn't like how the church was being run at all, so they moved to an entirely different country to get away from it. They wanted major changes in church practices, but that would never happen, so they went away and started their own society which followed their own values.

The theory of natural law states that all the laws based on morality are good for humans. Any law which is good for humans must be based on the moral grounds.
