I believe the answer is: EQ may be a better predictor of life success than IQ

He acknowledge that iq is indeed a strong indicatiors of individual's capability. But, in order to be successful in life, people will eventually have to work together with other people in order to achieve a common goal. In such situation, people with high EQ tend to shine brighter compared to people with high iq.
