Your environment can affect your fitness on many levels. Such as transportation. The more auto transportation opportunities you have, the less likely you are to either walk, bike, run, and so on. The atmosphere of your environment plays a huge role too. Is your city/town busy or slow going? The temperature. If it is sunny out, people can tend to want to be outdoors more than if it were raining or cold. There are plenty of factors, but sometimes it just varies on the people and their motivations.

The condition is known as Grey Turner sign.

Ecchymosis refers to bruise or discoloration. Flank refers to area between the last rib and hip on the side of body. Now, ecchymosis at flank is indicative of retro peritoneal hemorrhage. Retro peritoneal refers to peritoneum and occurrence of hemorrhage states bleeding which subsequently causes accumulation of blood. These signs are Grey Turner's sign and further diagnose the attack of acute pancreatitis.

Pancreatitis is the death of part of pancreas which is accompanied by release of pancreatic fluid and blood in the abdomen. The consequence is decrease in blood pressure and blood volume. Symptoms include vomiting, abdominal pain, nausea, fever etc. Decrease in blood volume and vomiting results in hypovolemic shock.
