The character of a person refers to aspects of his/her behaviour, in psychology it is formed by traits that are shown in specific and uncommon circumstances. Therefore they are not as obvious as the personality traits, character traits are deep-seated and are based in beliefs. They are usually labeled with descriptive adjectives such as faithful, honest, or jealous.
For example you can know a person for five minutes and things about his personality will reveal, but it takes more time for character traits to be revealed.
