Y=3x+40
y=8x+20
when they are the same
3x+40=8x+20
x=4
so at 4 sessions they will be the same but the one that charges 8 per class will become more costly

The perimeter of a rectangle is 84. If the length is 2 more than three times the width, what are the dimensions of the rectangle
Marina86 [1]

The perimeter solved shows that the dimensions of the rectangle are 32 and 10.

<h3>How to calculate the perimeter</h3>

Let the width be w

Length = 3w + 2

Perimeter = 2(length + width)

Perimeter = 2(3w + 2) + 2w

6w + 4 + 2w = 84

8w + 4 = 84

8w = 84 - 4

w = 80/8

w = 10

Length = 3w + 2

Length = 3(10) + 2

Length = 32

The dimensions of the rectangle are 32 and 10.

2x+7=12x-6 looking for x
Rzqust [24]
Hey!

Let's start by writing the problem:
2x+7=12x-6
Subtract 7 from both sides.
2x+7-7=12x-6-7
2x=12x-13
Subtact 12x from both sides.
2x-12x=12x-13-12x
-10x=-13
Divide both sides by -10.
\frac{-10x}{-10}=\frac{-13}{-10}
x=\frac{13}{10}

Let me know if you have any questions regarding this problem!
Thanks!

a taco stand sells tacos for $3.25 each. the stand's expenses for the day are $210. definec your variables and write an inequali
AlekseyPX

Okay, we know that the expenses for the day is 210.

Knowing this, and the price of the taco, we write the inequality:

3.25t > 210

t = number of tacos

Now divide both sides by 3.25:

t > 64.62 (rounded)

Because a taco stand can't sell a fraction of a taco, we know that the taco stand has to sell more than 65 tacos for a profit.
