Maria has a spinner with 2 sections labeled A, 3 sections labeled B, 2 sections labeled C, 4 sections labeled D, and 1 section l

abeled E. All 12 sections are the same size.
She spins it 20 times with outcomes as follows:

Outcome
Number of Times

A
4

B
6

C
3

D
5

E
2

a) Find the theoretical probability that the spinner lands on D.
b) Find the theoretical probability that the spinner lands on A.
c) Find the theoretical probability that the spinner lands on D or A.
d) Find the experimental probability that the spinner lands on B.

Answer: Okay so im not entirely sure if you need this still or if i am right but this is what ive got.

a) the chance of landing on the letter D is 1/3 because there are 4 sections labeled D and total there is 12. Therefore, 4 is 1/3 of 12 giving me the answer.

b) the chance of landing on the letter A is 1/6 because there are only 2 sections labeled A and total there is 12. Since that is the case, 2 is 1/6 of 12.

c) the chance of landing on the letter A and D is easy to find. You would just add the chances of getting the letter A and the letter D and there is your answer. 1/3 + 1/6= 3/6 or 1/2.

d) the experimental probability of the spinner landing on B is a 6/20 chance because the number of trials are 20, the denominator, and 6 is the event, numerator, which gives 6/20 or 3/10 simplified.

e) the experimental probability of the spinner landing on E is a 2/20 chance because the number of trials is 20, which is the denominator, and 2 is the event, numerator which gives 2/20 or 1/10 simplified

NeX [460]

Answer:The principal for the first account is $5000

The principal for second account is $4600

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for simple interest is expressed as

I = PRT/100

Where

P = principal

T = time in years

R = interest rate on the principal.

Let x represent the amount invested in the first account

Let y represent the amount invested in the second account

Gabriel invests $9600 in two different accounts. This means that

x + y = 9600 - - - - - - - -1

For first account, The interest rate is 13%. The duration is one year.

Therefore

P = x

T = 1 year

R = 13%

Therefore

I = (x × 13 × 1)/100

I = 0.13x

For second account, he interest rate is 6%. The duration is one year.

Let y represent the principal for the second account. Therefore

P = y

T = 1 year

R = 6

Therefore

I = (y × 6 × 1)/100

I = 0.06y

At the end of the first year he had earned $926 in interest. This means that

0.13x + 0.06y = 926 - - - - - - - -2

Substituting x = 9600 - y into equation 2, it becomes

0.13(9600 - y) + 0.06y = 926

1248 - 0.13y + 0.06y = 926

- 0.13y + 0.06y = 926 - 1248

- 0.07y = -322

y = - 322/- 0.07 = 4600

x = 9600 - y

x = 9600 - 4600

x = 5000

The answer is 192 y^8.

(4y^2)^3 = 64y^6

64y^6 • 3y^2= 192y^8

When “multiplying” a number with an exponent, you add the 2 exponents.
