Bond [772]

I believe the answer is:

women express their feelings verbally more than men do,

while men tend to prefer to keep the emotions at bay or express it througb non-verbal actions.

women and men show only a few differences in sexual attitudes and behavior.

Generally, men and women enjoy sex equally. Few differences could be said on female mate selection that put status in society as a more crucial factors compared to men on average.

there is very little difference in the way that men and women provide support.

Instinctually, humans would give words or encouragement or by intimate touch (hugs or kisses) to provide support.

5.<br> According to the text, when and why did the KKK experience surges and declines in popularity?
Readme [11.4K]

The Ku Klux Klan, founded in the late 1860’s, experiences three major surges in popularity promoting ideals such as white supremacy, white nationalism, Nativism, anti-immigration, and anti-communism.

The first era of Ku Klux Klan experienced a rise in popularity in the late 1800’s with the intent of overthrowing Republican state governments in the South and ensuring that newly-freed southern African Americans did not vote. In 1871 their membership was oppressed by federal law enforcement (1871 Ku Klux Klan Act signed by President Grant to combat the KKK and other white supremacy groups).

The second Ku Klux Klan group flourished nationwide in the 1920’s on the platform of pro-prohibition and anti-Catholicism and anti-Jewish feelings. They experience a diminished population in the late 1920’s (around the time of the Great Depression; a time of mass American economic hardship).

The modern-day third wave of the Ku Klux Klan came about in the late 1950’s opposing the civil rights movement. Current membership, as of 2016, amounts to an estimated 3,000-6,000 active members.

The tendency to hold onto losing stocks in the hope that they will recoup is called:_______
iren2701 [21]

The tendency to hold onto losing stocks in the hope that they will recoup is called loss aversion.

Loss aversion is a cognitive bias that explains why the pain of loss has twice as much psychological impact as the joy of winning. Losing money or another valuable item can feel worse than gaining the same. This principle is prominent in the field of economics. What distinguishes loss aversion from risk aversion is that the utility of monetary rewards depends on what has been previously experienced or expected.

In the realm of behavioral choice, 'loss aversion' is a behavioral phenomenon in which individuals exhibit greater sensitivity to potential losses than gains. Conversely, “risk-averse” people have an increased sensitivity/aversion to options with uncertain outcomes.
