Answer:

Nez Perce derives from the French term "nez percé," "pierced nose." Its native to United States.

Explanation:

Nez Percé (also referred to as Nimipuutímt) is a Saha'a language related to the different dialects of Sahaptin, and is also spellated Nimiypuutímt (Nimiipuutímt, Niimiipuutímt, or Niimi'ipuutímt). Nez Perce derives from the French term "nez percé," "pierced nose," but Nez Perce, who is called "the men" by himself, did not pierce the nose, because it was a misunderstanding on the part of the French, since the tribes surrounding him. Nez Perce is a language that is highly endangered. The exact numbers of fluent speakers vary from sources but are almost certainly below 100. In a language reform project, the Nez Perce tribe members seek to reintroduce the language into their native use but (as at 2015) the future of the Nez Perce language has been far from guaranteed.

Which of these battles did NOT take place in the Western Theater of the Civil War?
Mandarinka [93]
How many battles were there and what is a "battle"? For instance, was Vicksburg a "battle" or a "siege with a series of battles"? Most historians would consider Petersburg to be a siege with a series of battles (Ft. Stedman, Battle of the Crater, etc.). What about naval battles (Kearsarge vs. Alabama, Monitor vs. Virginia, Battle of Mobile) or sieges that involved a number of assaults (Ft. Fisher, Battery Wagner)? One person's skirmish is another person's battle is another person's engagement is another person's campaign. In short, I don't think there is a consensus on an absolute number of battles in the US Civil War except that it would exceed over 100 by a vast margin.

When did England and France set up blockades of the European coast and British isles
Ierofanga [76]

Answer:

1807-11

Explanation : Napoleon’s Berlin decree of November 21, 1806, had already declared that the British Isles were under blockade and that “no ship which comes directly from England or the English colonies…shall…enter any of our harbours.” The secret Franco-Russian alliance of Tilsit furthered his scheme for economic warfare against Great Britain , since the cooperation of Russia should permit the complete closure of the Baltic to British shipping and hasten Austrian participation in the Continental System. Alexander undertook to support France against the British if they did not consent by November 1, 1807, to acknowledge the complete freedom of the seas and to return the conquests made since 1805. If Britain refused, France and Russia would “summon the three courts of Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Lisbon to close their ports to the British and declare war.”
