PLS help asap Why would this map help Booth persuade politicians in London to help improve the lives of the poor?
djverab [1.8K]

Ship owner Charles Booth wanted to disprove socialist claims that one-fourth of Londoners were impoverished. Although he first assumed this was overstated, his 17-volume study eventually showed that the real number was far higher: one-third.

This is further explained below.

What are politicians?

Generally, A person who is involved in party politics or who either has or seeks to occupy an elected post in the government is referred to as a politician. Laws that govern the country and, by extension, its inhabitants are proposed, supported, and rejected by politicians, who themselves establish these laws. To use a general definition, a politician is somebody who aspires to hold influential political positions inside a government.

In conclusion, Shipowner Charles Booth set out to disprove the socialists' claims that one-fourth of London's residents were living in poverty. He believed that this was overstated, but the results of his investigation, which were published in 17 volumes, showed that the actual amount was considerably higher, at one-third.

Which statement accurately summarizes the differences between the peace
iragen [17]

Answer:

The statement that summarizes accurately the differences between the peace parting from democrats and the war democrats is:

Even though former president lincoln military policies' were not the best to guarantee peace, it was the only one available after the situation the country lived. Thus, the democrat party was divided into a side that supported former president lincoln and one that supported George McLellan. Thus, when Lincoln won, many democrats that didn't support former president Lincolns' military policies became republicans and they fought for a separation of the confederation from the federation.

Explanation:

Democrats were divided in two groups as a cause of former president Lincoln military policies. But his win in the 1864 election, launch them to his opposition. Then, the confederation made its move and the scalations originated the civil war. This late group that didn't support former president lincoln military policies' was called copperheads.

Study the photo and use what you have learned about the history of the Plague to choose the best caption for the photo.
Lady_Fox [76]

Answer:

ExplanatioIt was a disease that would turn the world upside down, and it spread faster than it could be understood.

The “Black Death” that raged through the world during the Middle Ages was the most devastating infectious

disease recorded in human history. By the time the Plague had finally loosened its death grip, it had claimed

the lives of nearly half of the world’s population in less than five years. This special presentation, The Plague,

offers two compelling perspectives on the ravages of this disease. Journals and personal narratives from the

14th century take viewers inside the world of the disease as those who lived through it attempted to make

sense of its origins and significance amidst the chaos of its terror. These voices of perplexed horror and fear

are answered by contemporary historians and scientists who help us understand the sources of the Plague

and assess the long-term effects of this chilling pandemic.

This two-hour documentary traces the spread of this disease by describing both the methods of transmission,

and the path of infection as those who traversed trade routes unknowingly carried it throughout the world.

As the uncontrollable infections spiraled throughout

Europe, hysteria ensued. Those looking to place blame

laid responsibility at the door of God, at Jews, and at one

another, without any true explanation to comfort them.

The Plague chronicles the staggering effects of this

disease on European society, analyzing the ways that

these unexpected events in the 1340s altered the world

forever. Insights are drawn from first-person accounts

from Pope Clement VI, Princess Joan of England, Agimet,

a Jewish servant to a wealthy Swiss nobleman, and French

physician Guy de Chauliac. Educators and their students

will be riveted by these dramatic testimonies, and the

conclusions this program draws about the transformations

which followed in the wake of this cataclysmic disease.n:
