Deoxyribonucleic acid, or DNA, is the genetic material of all cellular organisms (and most viruses).
It determines the physical and physiological characteristics of individuals, and genes are fragments of DNA that contain the information necessary for the formation of body components, such as the <u>anatomy of the heart</u>, the color of the eyes, the functioning of various organs, and many others.
