washing hands gets rid of any bacteria on the hands so when you wash your hands and the bacteria gets killed, it cannot spread or turn into a virus. If you do not wash your hands, the bacteria can turn into a virus and therefore, it can spread to others and get yourself sick. Hope I helped.
