Answer:

Along with Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque was the founder of cubism. His paintings, mostly still lifes and female portraits, leave the central perspective and show people or objects simultaneously from various points of view, reducing them to decomposed forms. In his first solo exhibition, in 1908, Braque presented this innovative vision of art. In the following years, he developed this style through "collages" with paper, newspapers and wood chipboard that he incorporated into his works. He also produced cubist sculptures and ceramic works, in addition to dedicating himself to book illustration and decoration work. In 1953, the Louvre Museum, on whose ceiling Braque had painted a fresco (Sala Etrusca), exhibited his work, being the first time that a living artist exhibited in the Parisian museum.
