Euros per dollar:
35 / 45 = 0.78

Dollars per euro
45 / 35 = 1.29

*** The answer is b. 0.78 ***

The question is asking the exchange rate in euros per dollar. To find this we divide the 35 received euros by the 45 usd given to get 0.78. For every €0.78 , it is equivalent to 1 usd.

The reverse of this is usd per euros, so for every $1.29 it is equivalent to 1 euro.

I hope this helped

A number raised to the third power is negative. What is true about the number?
DaniilM [7]
It had to start off negative. Odd powers of negative numbers remain negative, even powers will always be positive no matter what. Every time you add one to the power, you multiply by another negative, changing the sign.

How do you prove any number to the zero power is 1? Like why is any number to the zero power one?
Gnesinka [82]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

It's a matter of being consistent in a pattern:

Let a be a number.  If a^(-3) is the first number, it's equal to 1 / a^3.

Next:

1 / a^2

1 / a^1

??                To fit into this pattern, a^0 must equal 1.

a^1

a^2

a^3

and so on.

Try this same exercise with a = 2:

2^(-2) = 1/4

2^(-1) = 1/2

??       This number has to be 1 to fit the pattern.  2^0 = 1.  Note that each

           term is 2x the previous term:  2(1/4) = 1/2; 2(1/2) = 1; 2(1) = 2; 2(2) = 4,

and so on.  Again, 2^0 must = 1 to fit into this sequence.

2^1 = 2

2^2 = 4
