Geography

Answer: They exported customer service operations to India for a comparative advantage.

Explanation:

The services in India are provided to businesses at a lower cost than they would pay in their home country. When a country can provide these services in cheaper ways for production it's called a comparative advantage.

The United States has the technology for customer service representatives and can afford a higher pay rate. However, they shift these services to countries where the pay is low. This lets the company make more money even if it makes their customers unhappy with the services they are provided.

the enormous submarine canyon located off the coast of central california in_____bay is very well studied for both its geologic
Degger [83]

The enormous submarine canyon located off the coast of central California in Monterey bay is very well studied for both its geologic and biologic features, as well as being a national marine sanctuary. Thus, "Monterey" is the correct filler to be used here.

What is a Submarine canyon?

A submarine canyon is a steep-sided valley that has been dug into the seabed of the continental slope; it can occasionally extend deep over the continental shelf, have virtually vertical walls, and can have canyon walls that are up to 5 km high, like the Great Bahama Canyon. Submarine canyons provide routes for the movement of turbidity currents over the seafloor, just like above-sea level canyons do for the movement of water through land.

Rivers may provide turbidity currents or storms, and undersea landslides, earthquakes, and other soil disturbances may create them on the seafloor. Turbidity currents are movements of water that are thick and sediment-laden. The continental slope is eroded by the swift (up to 70 km/h) turbidity currents that flow downslope.

Geologist obtain indirect evidence about the earths interior by?
-Dominant- [34]

Answer:

Hi,

Geologists obtain indirect evidence about the earth’s interior by studying seismic waves produced.

Explanation:

Geologists are able to study the layers of the interior of the earth by observing the seismic waves patterns. The recorded data for the waves can show how the waves traveled through the earth and the path followed which will reveal the structure of the interior of the earth. The speed and magnitude of the wave can further reveal the characteristics of the earth’s interior.

Best wishes!
