We can't tell what size the page is now, because you never told us
what size it was before all the shenanigans started.  All you gave us
was a couple of ratios.

And you didn't even tell us WHAT was increased and decreased ...
was it the length of the sides, or was it the area of the page ?
__________________________________________

If it was the length of the sides ...

Let's say the page was  8"  high and  4"  wide.

Increase lengths by  50% :     Now it's  12"  high and  6"  wide.

Decrease lengths by  50% :   Now it's  6"  high and  3"  wide.

     The sides are now  3/4  as long as they started out,
     and the area is  9/16  of what it started out.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!<br><br> I don't understand....<br> If possible, please explain!
gogolik [260]

Answer:

55

Step-by-step explanation:

Since this is an isosceles triangle, the angles at the bases of the identical legs must be equal

<A = <C

3x+40 =x+50

Subtract x from each side

3x-x+40 = x+50-x

2x +40 = 50

Subtract 40 from each side

2x+40-40=50-40

2x = 10

Divide each side by 2

2x/2=10/2

x = 5

We want to find <A

3x+40

3(5)+40

15+40

Calculate <br> y''<br> in terms of y when <br> 5x2 + 3y2 = 2.
fomenos

Answer:

-4/3

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the order of operations you can simply go from left to right with it.

5x2 + 3y2 = 2

10 + 3y2 = 2       Here I just multiplied 5x2

Now we can continue with the equation, keeping in mind you go left to right.

10 + 3y2 = 2

10+ 6y = 2          3y times 2 is 6y.

So we have to continue by balancing the equation, what you do to one side you do to the other.

10 + 6y = 2

<u>-10          -10</u>

6y = -8

6y/6 is y and -8/6 can be reduced to -4/3 so that is the answer!

Hope that helps and have a great day!

Find the gradient of the line passing through the points (4a, -a) and (6a, 5a)
astraxan [27]

Answer:

3

Step-by-step explanation:

Gradient is also called slope .

=> m = y₂ - y₁ / x₂ - x₁

=> m = 5a + a / 6a - 4a

=> m = 6a / 2a

=> m = 3
