Answer: fails to raise the wage of any employed person

Explanation:

The minimum wage is the lowest amount of money that an employee is legally expected to pay his or her workers.

The minimum wage sometimes may lead to losses of jobs in case the employers can't meet the wages and salaries of the workers. Also, workers with high skill are more valuable and attractive than low skilled workers which can lead to excess supply of low skilled workers.

Therefore, the minimum wage hurts those people who it is intended to help. The minimum wage often increases the wage of the employees therefore the option that "it fails to raise the wage of any employed person" is the correct answer because it isn't a criticism.

The time value of a call option is I) the difference between the option's price and the value it would have if it were expiring
Nat2105 [25]

Answer:

I) The difference between the option's price and the value it would have if it were expiring immediately

Explanation:

Time value in options trading simply refers to the part of an option's premium (cost or price) which is attributed to the amount of the time remaining until expiration.

An addition of the option's time value and intrinsic value equals the total premium of an option.

Therefore, we can mathematically state that:

Time Value = Option Premuim(Price) - Intrinsic Value.

The Option Premuim is an amount of money known as the price or cost.

In an exchange for the right granted by the option, an option buyer pays for the premium to an option seller.

Generally, it is seen that the more time that remains until the expiration, the greater the time value of the option. This happens as a result of investors willing to pay a higher premium for more time since the longer time taken to execute contract will be profitable due to a favorable move in the underlying asset.

Also, the lesser time remaining on an option will result in lesser willingness of investors to pay because the probability for profitability is slim.

Kahuna Industries has two manufacturing departments--Fabrication and Finishing. The company used the following data at the begin
Morgarella [4.7K]

Answer:

Total manufacturing cost= $34,052

Explanation:

First, we need to calculate the predetermined overhead rate:

Predetermined manufacturing overhead rate= total estimated overhead costs for the period/ total amount of allocation base

Total estimated overhead= 33,400 + (2*4,000 + 4*1,000)

Total estimated overhead= $45,400

Predetermined manufacturing overhead rate= 45,400 / 5,000

Predetermined manufacturing overhead rate= $9.08 per machine hour

Now, we can determine the total manufacturing cost of Job 15-Z:

Allocated MOH= Estimated manufacturing overhead rate* Actual amount of allocation base

Allocated MOH= (1,300 + 600)*9.08= $17,252

Total manufacturing cost= 8,400 + 8,400 + 17,252

Total manufacturing cost= $34,052
