The answer is 32.
267 + 21=288
288 persons in total
288 divided by 9=32
divide the total of persons by the total of buses and you'll get the final answer , which is 32 persons on each bus.

Trapezoid QRST has two right angles. A 5-in.altitude can be drawn dividing QRDT into a rectangle and an isosceles right triangle
Vika [28.1K]

Answer:

The area of the trapezoid is 57.5 square inches

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The trapezoid QRST can be divided into a rectangle QRDT and an isosceles right triangle RSD

see the attached figure to better understand the problem

step 1

The area of rectangle is given by the formula

A=((QR)(RD)

we have

RD=5\ in ----> altitude

QR=9\ in

substitute

A=((9)(5)=45\ in^2

step 2

Find the area of the isosceles right triangle

The area of triangle is given by the formula

A=\frac{1}{2}(RD)(DS)

we have

RD=DS=5\ in ---> because is an isosceles triangle

substitute

A=\frac{1}{2}(5)(5)=12.5\ in^2

step 3

Adds the areas

A=45+12.5=57.5\ in^2

Identify the type I error and the type II error that corresponds to the given hypothesis. The proportion of people who write wit
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer:

Type I error is to Reject the claim that the proportion of people who write with their left hand is 0.29 when the proportion is actually 0.29.

Type II error is Fail to reject the claim that the proportion of people who write with their left hand is 0.29 when the proportion is different from 0.29.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the following hypothesis below;

Let p = proportion of people who write with their left hand

So, Null Hypothesis, H_0 : p = 0.22     {means that the proportion of people who write with their left hand is equal to 0.22}

Alternate Hypothesis, H_A : p \neq 0.22      {means that the proportion of people who write with their left hand is different from 0.22}

Now, Type I error states that we conclude that the null hypothesis is rejected when in fact the null hypothesis was actually true. Or in other words, it is the probability of rejecting a true hypothesis.

So, in our question; Type I error is to Reject the claim that the proportion of people who write with their left hand is 0.29 when the proportion is actually 0.29.

Type II error states that we conclude that the null hypothesis is accepted when in fact the null hypothesis was actually false. Or in other words, it is the probability of accepting a false hypothesis.

So, in our question; Type II error is Fail to reject the claim that the proportion of people who write with their left hand is 0.29 when the proportion is different from 0.29.

What conjecture can you make about the sum of the first 29 positive even numbers?
hoa [83]
An = A1 + (N-1)d
A1 is the first term (in this case 2)
d is the common difference (what is the difference between all consecutive even numbers? 2)
N is the number of terms to find (in this case 29)
An = 2 + (29-1)2 = 58
I would say none of the above, unless you typed it wrong. The sum is the product of the number of terms minus one and two, plus two more. So it's almost answer B but not really. Good luck with this one.
