Part 1: 4x + 7 = 3(2x - 5)

4x+7=6x-15

7=6x-15-4x

7=2x-15

7+15=2x

22=2x

22=2x / 2

x=11

Part 2: Sam is not correct because he messed up the second step. He added 2x on both sides to get 7x, instead he should have subtracted.

JulsSmile [24]

Answer: 1/4

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the box box contains four equal-sized cards labeled 1 , 3, 5, and 7. The probability of selecting any number out of the four numbers will be 1/4 if they are selected once.

If Tim selects one card from the box, the probability that Tim will select a card labeled 3 will be: = 1/4

This is because 3 only occurs once and there are 4 numbers in total.

in a classroom training student has to create a triangle pyramid using various items. Each group then used measurement to determ
balandron [24]

The formula for the volume of pyramid is,

V=\frac{Bh}{3}

Here, B is base area and height of pyramid.

The volume expression for group 4 is,

V=\frac{1}{3}\cdot(\frac{8\cdot4}{2})\cdot9

Here, expression,

\frac{8\cdot4}{2}

represents the base area and 9 represent the height of pyramid.

So height of the pyramid created by group 4 is 9.

Find the volume of a right circular cone that has a height of 11.8 ft and a base with a radius of 7.3 ft. Round your answer to t
lora16 [44]

Answer:

The answer to your question is 658.2 ft³

Step-by-step explanation:

Data

Volume = x

height = 11.8 ft

radius = 7.3 ft

Formula

Volume of a cone = 1/3πr²h

Process

1.- Calculate the volume

Volume = 1/3(3.14)(7.3)²(11.8)

Volume = 1/3(3.14)(7.3)²(11.8)

Volume = 1/3(3.14)(53.29)(11.8)

Volume = 1/3(1974.5)

Rounded to the nearest tenth

Volume = 658.2 ft³

Estimate the perimeter of the figure to the nearest tenth.
Vlad [161]

Answer:

The Perimeter of the Figure to the nearest tenth is 18.7 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Please note I have attached an edited version of your sketch to aid my solution. Now this question can be solved in multiple ways. Here, we shall see one of them. Looking at the original sketch, we can see that the figure is actually a combination of a Triangle (Figure 1 in my sketch) and a rectangle (Figure 2 in my sketch). So we can simply find the sides of a Triangle and the sides of a Rectangle and add them. Perimeter on Figure 1:The Perimeter of a Triangle is given by the Sum of the three sides as:

AT=a+b+c

Perimeter on Sketched Figure:The perimeter of the total figure will be two sides of the triangle and the three sides of the rectangle (as the one adjacent between Fig. 1 and 2 can not be taken into account). Thus we need to find 5 different sides and add them together. Now since the figure is on a graph paper, we can read of the size of some sides, thus the left side of the triangle is units and the base of the triangle is also units. Now to find the last unknown side we can take Pythagorian theorem, since our triangle is a Right triangle, (i.e. one angle is 90°). Pythagoras states that the squared of the hypotenuse of a right triangle is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two legs of the triangle (where the hypotenuse side is always across the 90° angle. So here we can say that: where is the hypotenuse and our unknown side. So plugging in values and solving for we have: units.

Perimeter on Figure 2:

The Perimeter of the Rectangle is given by:

Ar=2(w+l)

192 rounded to nearest tenth?
Andrews [41]

There is no TENTH in 192 so 192 rounded to the nearest TENTH is 192.

If you meant TEN then 192 rounded to the nearest TEN is 190.

Good Luck!
