Answer:

The number of firms and the industry's output will increase.

Explanation:

profits  = 15*3000 - 36000

           = 9000

so here the industry is in profits and as there is free entry and exit the firms will start entering because of the profits thus as more firms enter supply will increase thus prices will fall and firm will break even in lomg run.

the role of the develpoed nation in helping the developing nations for sustainable develpoment of natural resources???pls help.
tigry1 [53]

Answer:

Developed nations have an economic and moral responsability to help developing contries achieve sustainable development goals not only because developed nations have more money, but also because they are the main originators of climate change.

For this reason, developed nations should give funds to developing nations in order to fund projects such as solar, wind, geothermal, and nuclear power plants, and they should also provide technical assistance, since the population of developed nations tends to be more educated than that of developing nations.

arrugia Corporation produces two intermediate products, A and B, from a common input. Intermediate product A can be further proc
kodGreya [7K]

Answer:

if the firm processes A and B into X and Y, it will lose $25

Explanation:

total costs of producing product A and B = $90 (common input) + $36 (processing) = $126

selling price of A and B = $53 + $113 = $166

profit of selling A and B = $166 - $126 = $40

if A and B are processed further, the cost of X and Y = $126 + $33 + $66 = $225

selling price of X and Y = $80 + $160 = $240

profit of selling X and Y = $240 - $225 = $15

if the firm processes A and B into X and Y, it will lose $40 - $15 = $25

Using a payoff matrix to determine the equilibrium outcome Suppose there are only two firms that sell Blu-ray players: Movietoni
Marina CMI [18]

Answer:

pricing low

yes

Explanation:

Game theory looks at the interactions between participants in a competitive game and calculates the best choice for the player.

Dominant strategy is the best option for a player regardless of what the other player is playing.

Nash equilibrium is the best outcome for players where no player has an incentive to change their decisions.

if either firm charges high, they either earn 11 million or 2 million.

if either firm charges low, it would earn either 15 million or 8 million.

because the payoffs of charging low is higher than the payoffs of charging high, the best strategy is for the firms to charge low if there is no cooperation.

the game is a prisoners dilemma because the choice the firms make isn't the choice that will yield the highest payoffs. the choice that would yield the highest payoffs is to both charge high prices.
