The correct answers are: A) 1; C) 3; D) 4; E) 5;

On the globe that is shown, some of the winds have their directions marked correctly, while some are wrong. The winds that are dominating the space between the Equator and the Tropic of Cancer, and the Equator and the Tropic of Capricorn, are correct. These are the Easterly winds. They are constant winds that blow from east to west. The winds that are dominant at the mid-latitudes, are the Westerly winds, and they blow from west to east on both hemispheres, so on the picture, only the ones on the South Hemisphere are correct. The winds that come from the poles are slightly turning towards west, so only the wind marked on the North Pole, or rather the Arctic Circle is correct.

NikAS [45]

Incomplete question. The Options read;

a) Is about one-hundred-million years old.

b) Is 4.6 billion years old.

c) Has been here forever.

d) Is less than about one-hundred-million years old.

e) Is more than about one-hundred-million years old.

Answer:

e) Is more than about one-hundred-million years old.

Explanation:

Remember, we are talking about the information available some two to three hundred years ago when there was no modern geological equipment for radioactive elements tracing.

Hence, using uniformitarian calculations from the thickness of known sedimentary rocks, the geologists concluded that the Earth must be more than about one-hundred-million years old. However, modern researchers today have concluded the Earth to be not millions but billions of years old.
