Ejemplos de sustantivos de género masculinos: chico, señor, perro, abuelo

Ejemplos de sustantivos de género femeninos: chica, señora, casa, abuela.

En español, los sustantivos tienen número el cual puede ser singular o plural.

El sustantivo singular se refiere a una única persona, animal, cosa o lugar. El sustantivo plural se refiere a más de una persona, animal, cosa o lugar.

Las reglas para convertir un sustantivo singular en plural son:

1. Se agrega “-s” al singular si termina en vocal:

Auto........Autos

Libro........Libros

Casa.........Casas

2. Se agrega “-es” al singular si termina en consonante:

Mujer.....Mujeres

Salón.....Salones

Flor........Flores

3. Si palabra termina en “z” se forma el plural sustituyendo la ¨Z¨ por una “c” y añadiendo “-es”.

Emperatriz........Emperatrices

Lápiz........Lapices

4. Si la palabra termina en “y” se forma el plural añadiendo “-es”.

Rey.......Reyes

Buey.....Bueyes

4. If the word ends in "and" the plural is formed by adding "-es".
