1)Section 6 also says that Senators and Representatives shall not be questioned in court or by the President for any speech or debate they give or participate in on the floor of the Senate or the House. This assures ample freedom of debate in Congress.

2)To ensure the separation of powers among the legislative, judicial and executive branches of government, Article I, Section 6, prohibits a senator or representative from holding any other federal office during his or her service in Congress.

1. What issue matters to you? 2.How can this issue be addressed by a law or legal measure? Be as specific as possible when think
ale4655 [162]

Answer:

The issue that matters to me is the life of Homeless people/shelters.

Explanation:

The reason this matters too me is because of how unfortunate and in a bad position homeless people are in, with little resources out there.

Females deal with -

 1. periods,
 2. some have kids,
 3. health issues

and this list could go on, the same goes with Males who are homeless.

How could the Law help?

I feel like the Law could help by making more homeless related shelters, places, and less building more fast food businesses. Where I live there is 2 Dunkin Donuts on the same side of town, and 3-4 Mcdonalds also on the same side of town. But not one resource center for the homeless, single/teen parents, abuse centers, nothing. And I know the government has to make their money even though they don't need it and are being greedy, but if you think about it people who are jobless and then GET a job can make money which goes towards the government. The cycle can go real easily but the government could care less about the poor/less fortunate which is sad.

Why this should matter?

This should matter because not all homeless people choose to be homeless. Yes some would rather be without any responsibility meaning a home, job, etc... But most fall into a different category-

 • Kids/teens get kicked from their guardians residence,
 • foster people would rather not be in the system their in,
 • circumstances might change drastically for the person and now they have no choice like loosing a job, or going through debt

And the list could go on. NOT ALL HOMELESS PEOPLE CHOOSE TO BE HOMELESS. So I feel like their should be more resources for that, not to mention for people of color. The Law should really recruit people that are willing to make this happen, for example it is the same with movements that are catering to a specific group of people/ problem. Homelessness should be apart of those problems, cause it is very big, wide spread, and will never stop. So the Law needs to take actions some how.

Explain 3 reasons why the Pearl Harbor attack could ultimately be deemed a pyrrhic victory.
Nataly_w [17]

Answer:

The attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise peacetime attack by the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Force on December 7, 1941, to the United States' Pacific fleet, which was anchored in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

With the attack, the Empire of Japan expanded the Pacific War that had been waged since 1937. With the attack, Japan wanted to shut down the U.S. Pacific fleet for six months to secure raw materials in Southeast Asia.

On December 8, 1941, the United States declared war on Japan. This made the attack on Pearl Harbor and its aftermath a decisive turning point in World War II, because the United States' declaration of war on Japan and the Axis powers' declaration of war against the United States led to the United States' entry into World War II.

Although the attack weakened the United States significantly militarily, the long-term consequences for Japan were fatal. Through the attack, which was perceived as "insidious" in the USA, the American government succeeded in mobilizing the largely pacifist or isolationist US population to enter the war, which led to the decision in favor of the Allies due to the enormous American industrial potential.

In short, this attack was a Japanese pyrrhic victory, because on the one hand, it unleashed a new battlefront with a very powerful enemy; on the other, he was unable to fulfill his objective of completely destroying the American fleet; and lastly, he activated a series of diplomatic connections that took away even more international support from the neutral nations in the conflict.
