How did distance affect the city-states of ancient Greece?
Sladkaya [172]

Answer:

It made city-states ununited, since they formed independently from each other. City-States were constantly fighting and going to war with each other.

Explanation:

Since city-states had distance between them, they adopted different lifestyles from one another; their economies depended on different recourses because their terrain was different from one another (ex: states by the coast would often fish as a main source of income and food). The mountanous terrain of Greece only separated city-states further and encouraged the independent growth of city-states. This meant Greece was ununited and city-states would constantly go to war with each other.

How did the public school system change during the time of<br> Reconstruction?
devlian [24]

Answer:

Eric Foner: Freedom had many meanings to people coming right out of slavery. But one of the things that it critically involved was access to education. Most of the Southern states, before the Civil War, made it illegal to teach a slave to read and write. Now, some African Americans did learn to read and write secretly. Some... their master or mistress actually taught them to read and write. But the vast majority had had no access to education at all. And they realized that education was critical to advancement as free people in this society. As well as, many of them, being deeply religious, wanted to be able to read the Bible.

Hi there!

Political machines, or in your case, machines, are referred to as political organizations in which a boss runs the politics of an area. Precinct is a term used to organize areas of a city, lobbyist are people advocating with the intention to induce change, and legislature is the group of people who pass laws and ordinances in a city. Therefore, the only logical answer would be...
