From the story, we get to known that Julian’s mother have struggled a lot in her life. He made immense sacrifices for her son; she sacrificed her hunger, her thirst so that her son din not remain hungry. She supports him on every stage of his life.

From all these, one can easily figure that that Julian’s mother viewed life’s struggle as a challenge. Had it not been for her son, she probably wouldn’t have struggled this hard. But it was Julian for whom she faced all the challenges and difficulties of life.
