Answer:

D. The chorus comments on the actions of the play and clarifies the situation to the audience

B. The best plans often comes to nothing

Explanation:

It is general believe in the Greece that a native must be buried. When the two brother Eteocles and Polyniece died in battle and the successor king Creons decided to bury only Eteocles leaving Polyniece for leading foreign army, their sister Antigone went ahead to bury and which also resulted in her death and others.

The theme is a classical expression of disobedience to authority which Antigone contravened.

The poem "The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe, the raven repeats the word nevermore in response to the speaker's question. What effect
alexgriva [62]
The effect that this response has on the speaker is that the speaker’s mental state shifts more and more toward madness.
The raven is constantly repeating the same word - nevermore. In the beginning, the narrator just thought it was a weird coincidence that the bird should say that one single word, but as time passes by, the weight of that word becomes unbearable as the narrator realizes that this word can be applied to all of his questions. So as time goes by, the narrator becomes more and more depressed about not being allowed to see his beloved and thus he falls into madness.

What defines “The Raven” as a poem rather than a work of short fiction?
NikAS [45]

Answer:

The component that defines the work "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe as a poem, and not as a short work of fiction, is the resource of rhyme that is used constantly in the writing of the work. Thus, the author uses this resource at all times, both within the verses and between different verses, in such a way that the musicality of the writing is never lost; on the contrary, the careful use of words (and even the repetition of them) is aimed at keeping the rhythm of the poem from its beginning to its end.
