Shortened: This means the membrane only allows some things to pass through while others can't.

Hope this helps! ^^

Answer:

Well ,Selectively permeable means a membrane allows the passage of some molecules or ions and inhibits the passage of others. The capacity to filter molecular transport in this manner is called selective permeability. or a property of cellular membranes that only allows certain molecules to enter or exit the cell. ... Movement across a selectively permeable membrane can occur actively or passively. ( best example would be ) For example, water molecules can move passively through small pores on the membrane.

Explanation:

hopefully that made sense they're really isn't a shortcut on explaining this type of topic but i tried to make it as understanding as possible, Good luck! :)

Svet_ta [14]

Answer:

Low levels of dissolved oxygen would decrease the diversity of the fish population.

Explanation:

Salinity means an increase of the dissolved salt content in a water body.Water that has a high content of salt contains low amount of  dissolved oxygen and  therefore, it becomes a less appropriate environment for some aquatic organisms.

Although, most of the water bodies have specific optimal salinity range, They can adjust to live in that certain range, however, if salinity increases beyond that range , water bodies will shift from that environment to a new one that is more suitable for them to live.  On the other hand, fish or other waterbodies that are more tolerant to salinity will migrate to this acquatic zone and will adapt there. But sometimes, an abrupt increase in salinity do not give alot of time to the fishes to relocate and they just die from salt stress. This has something to do with decreasing the diversity of fish population.

Hope it help!

Komok [63]

Answer:

six-finger allele

Explanation:

A dominant allele is the copy of a gene located at a locus on a chromosome, whose phenotype is often expressed in the presence of the other copy of a gene in an individual. It is the allele of a gene of that override the effect of the other copy of the gene. It is dominant over the other. The other copy of the gene that it dominates is the recessive allele.

The six-finger allele that expresses itself in the same individual in the presence of the five-finger allele is the dominant allele. The five-finger allele is the recessive allele.
