Hey!

Here is the equation:

5 = \frac{w}{2.2}

Switch the equation and it becomes:

2.2 \times 5 = w

The sign changes when moved to the other sign.

Multiply 5 by 2.2

2.2 \times 5 = 11

That means your answer is 11

Hi!

So 2.2 is divided by w and you can't get alone. No problem! All you have to do is multiple 2.2 on both sides because that's the opposite of dividing which will cancel the 2.2 on the w side which will help you solve for w.

5*2.2 = w/2.2*2.2

w = 11

you can plug it back in

11/2.2 = 5

that is correct!

Hope this helps!

Which ordered pairs are solutions to the inequality 2x+3y≥−1 ?
Pavlova-9 [17]
There are many pairs that are solutions to this inequality. You can find them all by graphic this on a coordinate plane and then shading the region.

You can also plug any of the ordered pairs that they give you into the equation and see if they produce a true statement.
