The Electoral College is responsible for electing the President and Vice President of the United States.

The US is the largest democracy on the planet, but the system of choice of presidential plaque is done indirectly. Citizens vote to elect the Electoral College. This body is made up of a total of 538 delegates from all states, including Washington DC. The number of delegates corresponding to each State is calculated in proportion to its population and the number of parliamentarians representing them.

After citizens vote for their presidential candidate, on election day, votes are counted at the state level. The candidate who obtains the majority of the popular votes in a state stays with all the delegates assigned to that territory. Excesses: States of Maine and Nebraska, where delegates are proportionately divided.

From the American perspective, why did wartime cooperation between the United States and the Soviet Union collapse in 1945–46?
elixir [45]

Answer:

During 1945 after the Potsdam Conference one of the main question was division of Germany. According to agreement Germany was to be divided into four separate zones. This was unacceptable for Soviets, who wanted a bigger peace of cookie, but United States didn't wanted to allow this, as they were afraid that it will affect the world order.

Explanation:

During WW2 it was obvious that ideological differences between Soviet Union and United States can create a problem for the whole world. They couldn't totally agree how the world should look like after the war. The problems started with the division of Germany, but continued in the other areas of the world also.

Which of the following was a consequence of the Napoleonic Wars?
Semmy [17]

Answer:

Many conquered countries were split into distinct social classes, with French foreign leaders dominating local governments.

Explanation:

The war of Napoleonic acted as a representation of the turning point of the affairs of Europe and the main break from the past. This is therefore regarded as the peace agreement signing between the French and British communities. The endpoint, therefore, is the exile and waterloo defeat. This led to the continuation of the revolutionary wars in French that stated in 1792 and affected France against shifting the European power alliances.

However, before the European resorted to conducting mobilization of the military, they made fundamental changes in society.
