The right answer is C.

Pepsin degrades food bolus proteins by hydrolysing peptide bonds before aromatic amino acids.

The optimum pH of action of pepsin is between 1.8 and 4.4.

It is mostly composed of aspartic acid and glutamic acid.

Glucose comes from Sucrose, along with Fructose. Glucose, in your case, would break down the molecular bonds of glucose into the molecular compositions of glucose.
Hope that helps.

2. Helicase begins to break the hydrogen bonds between the nitrogen bases. (The double helix has to be unwound in order to expose the nucleotides)

3. DNA polymerase attach the free-floating nucleotides to the exposed nitrogen bases. (this allows a new DNA strand to be made on the existing one)

4. Free floating nucleotides pair up with exposed nitrogen bases (this is what really builds the new strand, based around the template strand)

Where would the leucine side chain most likely be found in a protein dissolved in water?
riadik2000 [5.3K]

Answer:

Burried in protein

Explanation:

Leucine have a branched hydrocarbon side chain. The side chain of leucine is nonpolar and hydrophobic.

If a protein have to face water, proteins fold in such a way during the tertiary structure that the amino acid with polar characteristics tend to remain on outer surface while amino acid with nonpolar characteristics tend to remain in the core of protein.

So Leucine side chain would be found burried in core of protein.
